My art explores the rich palette of colors, symbols, patterns and history of African art. I am inspired to use the African aesthetic in a contemporary expression and create assemblages that tell stories.

The ArtBlox Series was inspired by African Adinkra symbols. These ancient symbols from the Ashanti of Ghana reflect phrases or principles of truth.
